I thought of something else the was interesting. Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't the book say that Jerome and Simone know what the issue is with Georgina's contract. I'm having a hard time pinpointing where it was said. Jerome says he knows why Simone was really sent there, and it wasn't going to work out.
Why wouldn't Jerome tell Georgina what was up with her contract. Other then not wanting to lose her succubus. I guess that might be one reason he has always been anti-Seth.

Yep, Jerome knew why Simone was there. And I also had the feeling it had something to do with Georgie (or maybe Seth's) contract. If nothing else, Jerome has a far, far better idea of what's really going on than Georgie knows. I suspect that like Carter, he knows the 'loophole' that exists, and unlike Carter wanting it to come to pass, Jerome wants to see it overcome so that the loophole is void.
I think he wants it void so that Hell doesn't lose Georgie. It would be a loss for the dark side, and probably wouldn't look good for Jerome.
Thats my guess anyway, but goodness knows a lot could happen!! And I don't really expect to be able to really predict what happens, Richelle's very good at surprising me lol

I totally agree. As much crap as Jerome gives, I think that he really doesn't want to lose Georgina to the good side. Especially, with how unstable things have been lately in this little world.
I think Carter's little speech about how he sometime has to sit back and let things run their course. He probably isn't allowed to get in the middle of this, but he can't help prodding Georgina. And this is why I've always loved Carter. When no one else is their for Georgie, he is.

I agree with Cem's first theory about the two contracts with Seth being a reincarnation of Kyriako who also made a seperate contract! That was exactly what my mind jumped too when I was reading throughout Shadows- well before I got to the end which pretty much cinched it in my book or at least something very similar to it! I agree Jerome knows whats up or at least partially does. But I don't think he is not telling her just because he/hell does not want to lose her. As much as he plays the hard ass boss I think he genuinely cares for her and I don't think he's preventing her from obtaining true happiness just for the sake of wanting to keep her under his rule of thumb. I think it goes far deeper than that. If that was the case Carter and him would not have the unorthodox friendship that they have, and they would not work together so much, they would be against each other. I think they are both have deeper ties to Georgie than what meets the eye and the as of yet to be revealed details will give us more insight on both of their personal involvement/interests with her! Ahhh and then we have Roman. *sigh* I am such a sucker for him. Poor, poor Roman, he just can not catch a break! I felt so bad for him. I don't know how he is going to play out in all this, but man RM sure did a good job having you torn between two boys huh? Yep, it's by far my favorite too!

I think what really clenched it for me, was when they had brought Georgina back from the dream world. She looks at Seth and says something about, "This one man's name eluded me, though, largely because several kept popping into my head." This lends strength to our argument. I actually didn't catch it on the first read through, but on the second it stood out brightly.

As always, last to read. First off, this is now my favorite book in the series along with Succubus Dreams (book 3). I am totally convinced that Seth is Kyriakos. I actually felt this way all along, with the little hints we have had. Georgina's memories of all the men she felt a deep connection with have all been creative, good and shy'ish. Seth saying "You are the world to me" after they slept together in Succubus Heat was another clue. Ofcourse, book 5 with Georgina knowing Seth, but not recalling his names, as multiple faces seem to flicker through her mind just reinforces this to me. As for the contracts, I feel that the second contract is Seth's. I think her memory of the last time she was in Letha's body, when she meets Kyriakos and asks him if he was happy, that was real. Kyriakos' staying single seems to resonate with Seth's decision to stay alone if he can't be with Georgina or meet another Georgina. I kinda think that Kyriakos stuck a deal with Heaven, which essentially is his contract. The deal is that he will keep being reborn till he can redeem Georgina's soul. Although Letha cheated on Kyriakos, it was his threat/thoughts of killing himself that forced her hand. It leads me to think he did play a huge part in her eternal damnation. That could be why we see Seth and Georgina keep meeting each other time and again, and essentially repeat the same pattern. This could also explain Carter's interest in them. Finally, I am sure of this now. This is my absolute favorite series.

Maddyme, I agree with you. Part of Georgina's contract was that no one remembers her from her past, then she goes and visits Kyriakos. Maybe the visit made something in his memory go off. Then he was reborn as Seth and he said her real name. She was somehow remembered which would be the flaw in her contract. I hope that in the end, she will get out of her contract so she can have that vision come true. You know, the one with her and Seth being happy with a daughter. Hurry up September 2011!

Ok here's my guess.
As other's have said Seth=Kariakos. He signed a contract with Niphon to find and marry his true love in exchange for his soul. Niphon assumed he could just marry him off to anyone. But Kariakos' soul is bound to Letha's so he has searched for her throughout the centuries.
Thus the forces of evil (Jerome and Niphon) need to marry off Kariakos/Seth to satisfy his contract and get his soul, but must keep him away from Georgina or they lose hers. Simone was not trying to seduce Seth, but at Niphon's direction trying to get him to commit willingly to Maddy. Instead once again (yes Kariakos is all the men that Georgina has ever loved) he forsakes all others to search for Letha.
Georgina's contract is void when they can prove that Seth is Kariakos and still knows Letha. But, Seth and Georgina can never marry or else Seth's soul will be damned to hell. Instead they will live together in sin to save both their souls.
Well that's my guess. I'm looking forward to see how it actually turns out.

One more thing for you Team Roman fans. It's not going to end will for you. Roman is a murderer who has never displayed any regret for what he did. He's got bad guy written all over him.
My guess, is that Jerome ordered Roman to spy on and to try to seduce Georgina, all to keep her and Seth apart. Jerome also ordered Roman to kill Eric when he got to close to the truth. Only Georgina and Eric new what they said to each other and she told Roman. Georgina of course will blame herself for all of it.

Don't think there was anything forced about Roman suducing Georgie. Think that was all him. And yeah, I knew it would never end well for them, he is a killer with no regret, but I adore him anyway. As for Georgie and Seth living in sin to save their souls...yeah, don't get how that would work, explain your theory more please? I'm not ruling it out or anything, I just don't get where you're really coming from Some interesting theories there, you've put a lot of thought in to it. Not sure how much I agree with myself, but I love seeing other opinions!!

I have been pondering the 2 contracts thing because it wasn't the scenario I had envisioned since book 1. The wording in her contract states that she gives them her soul in exchange that no one from her past remembers her. We can see that Seth is Kyriokos (spelling?) reincarnate and he clearly is remembering her. That should be enough to invalidate the contract on her soul...or at least this was the way I was expecting this to play out. But then we hear about the 2 contracts. Now it could be nothing, because Eric was just guessing and in the first voice mail he did say he had several theories about her contract...but there's only 2 ways I see the dual contract thing adding up. Either she was pregnant at the time she sold her soul or Kyriokos also crafted a contract but that seems less plausible to me because Seth is still mortal. Worse? I have to wait until Sept to figure this all out. How excruciating!
