I picked up VA, because I was looking more new paranormal series to read. I love vampire book and I enjoy reading YA, even though I'm getting to old for this.  RM was suggested to me by readers on Rachel Vincent's discussion group. I was really happy I picked it up. My copy is a little beat up, because I've loaned it to so many people. ;D |

Well, I wasn't really interested but I kept seeing it around so I though "Why not?". Turns out that it's one of my favourite series ever.
And it's my favourite of all of Mead's books.

I was going through a bunch of recommendations 'for you' on amazon cause I was bored and looking for new stuff to read. Vampire Academy was one of them. I was a little reluctant cause I didn't want to be reading another version of Twilight, but I checked out Richelle's website for more details on book 1 and thought it sounded good, so I bought it. I read about 3 chapters when it arrived and jumped back online to order Frostbite (SK wasn't out then) and never looked back! lol I totally fell in love with Rose's voice and I knew withing those first few chapters she was going to be a favourite. So far, I've yet to be proved wrong! And VA is still my favourite of Richelle's series and easily my joint fave series ever.
(I found Rachel Vincent's 'Stray' the same way...)
